1. Share Your Thoughts

The first step toward increasing emotional intimacy in your marriage is to share your thoughts with your spouse. Start by telling him how you feel when he does something nice for you, like making dinner or folding laundry. Tell him why these actions make you feel loved and appreciated. Once he knows how much these actions mean to you, he’ll be more likely to do them more often!

2. Share Your Feelings

It’s one thing to tell someone what makes them happy; it’s another thing entirely to show them that their happiness matters. You can do this by sharing how much something means to you — whether it’s a gift, a meal or even just a hug from time to time! Don’t underestimate the power of words;

3. Don’t judge or criticize each other for what you say

Listen without judging so that you can understand where the other person is coming from before responding back to them (don’t interrupt).

4. Be willing to take responsibility for any mistakes made between you two

Take responsibility for your mistakes so that they don’t become points of contention between the two of you; always own up to your part of an argument even if it doesn’t seem fair or right at first (because it most likely won’t feel right at first).
